Seek don't FREAK

Accidents, tragedies, conflicts and troubles are experiences in life that are not pleaserable nor are they fun. Many times they are painful, heart wrenching, intense, and paralyzing. Everyone can relate to some life situation or reflect upon a past event. When stressful situations come into our lives, many times we freak out. We llose fovus and clarity upon life. No matter what the emothion or feeling around the situation may be, the Word of God in James 1:2 tells us to cound it all joy when you fall into divers temptations. This really is not what a person wants to hear at the time of their trial but it is the truth and it is best to prepare before a trial so when the situation does arise, one will be better equipped to handle it. So many people in life will not prepare themselves and when the trials comes alond they will crumble, flee, breakdown or simply fail at handling the particular event. So the question is "How do we get prepared?" The answer can be found in 1st Chronicles 16:11 It is simple, clear and to the point.

1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strenght, seek his face continually

The first point in handling a hard situation is to seek the Lord. Typically one will seek advice from a friend, co-worker, or spouse but who has more knowledge than God? NO ONE! That's right, God is all knowing, He created the earth, and He knows the ways of man. There is nothing new under the sun that God cannot handle, fix or direct. This is why He should be the one that we seek in our times of trouble.

The second point in handling a hard situation is relying on God's strength. As Bible believing Christians, we understand that God created the heavens and the earth. Have you ever thought about the power and strength that it took to do such a miracle? It is only when we seek God that we will truly see that miracles that He can do in your life. God displayed His strength in a way that it is evident daily to all human races through His creation. Power is given to him who seeks the Lord.

To make the most out of life and to handle the trials to the best of our ability, we have to continually seek the face of God. Every moment in life that goes by, not seeking God's face is a missed opportunity to see the mighty works of His hand. To experience the total love of God takes a continual eye focused upon Him. So when trials come about, please don't freak, just continue to seek.
